Office Policies

I want your care to feel personal, collaborative, and clear from the start.

Here’s what to know before we begin working together:

Fees & Payment

A valid credit card is required to remain on file for all patients. Your card will be charged on the day of your appointment.

Current fees for 2026:

Introductory Consultation (20 min): Complimentary

Initial Psychiatric Evaluation (90 min): $550

Comprehensive Follow Up (60 min):‍ ‍$400

Focused Follow Up (30 min): $250

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. For patients with commercial insurance, I am happy to provide a superbill that may be submitted for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Because I have opted out of Medicare, services provided through my practice are not eligible for Medicare reimbursement.

Getting Started

You are welcome to begin with a complimentary 20-minute Introductory Consultation before scheduling a full appointment. This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation that allows me to learn more about what you are looking for and gives us an opportunity to determine whether my approach feels like a good fit.

Because the consultation is not a clinical appointment, it does not include medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

Should you decide to move forward, the next step is an Initial Psychiatric Evaluation. This comprehensive 90-minute appointment gives us time to explore your history, current concerns, and treatment goals together.

Ongoing Care

Ongoing care typically includes either a 30-minute Focused Follow-Up or a 60-minute Comprehensive Follow-Up, depending on your needs and preferences at the time. Both appointment types may include medication adjustments and other treatment changes. The longer appointment offers additional time to explore concerns in greater depth, address multiple topics, or have a more comprehensive discussion.

Most patients are seen at least once every three months. More frequent appointments may be recommended when symptoms are less stable, medications are being started or adjusted, or closer monitoring and support would be helpful.

Cancellations

Appointments are reserved specifically for you. Please provide at least 24 business hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged the full session fee.

Communication

For routine communication, text message, email, and the patient portal are preferred. A brief phone call may be arranged when a conversation would be more appropriate. I typically respond within one business day, although responses may occasionally take up to two business days.

If you are experiencing an urgent mental health concern or feel that you may be in immediate danger, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Because I may not be able to respond immediately, routine communication channels should not be used for emergencies or crisis situations.

A Collaborative Approach

I do my best work with patients who are ready to take an active, collaborative role in their care. Together, we may explore not only medications, but also supplements, lifestyle changes, and the personal and environmental factors that may be affecting your well-being.

A complete Office Policies and Treatment Agreement, along with a Good Faith Estimate, will be provided as part of your intake paperwork.
